The Churches

This section will have information for visitors to a wide range of churches, focusing mostly on the history and architecture. There is no set theme but instead just a showcase of different churches in Suffolk and Norfolk. I hope to add more to this page on a regular basis and add more information about the churches as well as better quality photos over time.

This is a beautifully and uniquely decorated 15th century church, with a rare and incredibly vibrant feature inside.

Frenze

A small, now single-cell church with a quiet feel to it.

Huntingfield

This church is decorated with incredible detail and the colour inside has an architectural vibrant feel.

Shelton

This unusually large late 15th century, is both charming and rare for its size in Norfolk- also with royal connections.

Shimpling

A round tower church, unusually with a spire and other attractive features.

Syleham

A nice example of a round tower church with Norman origins, that has had many alterations to it over the centuries.

Thornham Pava

St Mary Thornham Pava is a very good example of late Anglo-Saxon and Norman architecture blended together.

Weybread

A good example of a church with Norman origins being adapted in later perpendicular style.
